Underdogs or Contenders? True Democracy Gears Up for Historic FA Cup Clash with Kotoko—-True Democracy will look to continue their fairytale run in the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup when they face Asante Kotoko in the quarterfinals on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Tema-based side, making their first-ever quarterfinal appearance, have impressed in the competition, eliminating former champions FC Nania and defending holders Dreams FC.

Their journey began with a 2-0 win over Kwahu Rangers before victories over Koforidua Semper Fi, Dreams FC, and FC Nania secured their spot in the last eight.

Despite trailing leaders Hohoe United by 18 points in Zone Three of the Access Bank Division One League, True Democracy has shone in the FA Cup. They boast a strong mix of experience and youth, with key players like Daniel Egyin, Kenneth Owusu, Martey Mahama, and rising talents Abraham Odonkor, Adjei Martei, and Amin Abdul Basit.

Asante Kotoko, Ghana Premier League leaders, are in fine form, with returnee Kwame Poku leading their attack. The Porcupine Warriors also have Justice Blay, Samuel Tenedu, and captain Frederick Asare available.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
