Colonel Isaac Amponsah, the President’s Aide-De-Camp (ADC), fainted unexpectedly shortly after the President began his speech.

The sudden incident caused a brief pause in proceedings as members of the parliamentary medical team rushed to provide first aid. Col. Amponsah was quickly transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. The President, visibly concerned, briefly halted his address to ensure his bodyguard received immediate care before resuming his speech.

Colonel Isaac Amponsah has been serving as President Akufo-Addo’s ADC since February 2023, following his promotion to the rank of Colonel. His military career includes key roles such as Chief Instructor at the Military Training Academy and service with the Defence Intelligence Unit.

No official statement has yet been released regarding the Colonel’s health following the incident. However, the swift response from the medical team ensured the situation was managed effectively, allowing parliamentary proceedings to continue smoothly.
