Jordan Ayew Assures President Mahama: Black Stars Will Bounce Back—–Black Stars captain, Jordan Ayew has assured President John Mahama that playing body woll will turn things around ahead of their upcoming crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana will take on Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday before travelling to play Madagascar in Morocco all in the Matchday five and six games.

The senior national team in 2024 churned out poor performances recording only two wins after 10 matches played.

However, following a visit to the team’s training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, Mahama encouraged the players ahead of the upcoming games.

Jordan Ayew acknowledged the challenges but remained confident in the team’s ability to deliver.

“It’s a big sign that you’re here supporting us. We know we’re in a tough situation, but we’re not afraid. We will turn things around on Friday, so you can relax. We’ll do the job for the nation,” Ayew assured.

After missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in 20 years, the Black Stars are eager to turn things around and secure a spot at the World Cup.
